Well, ESCADA has a new fragrance, called Marine Groove.  This will be number 18 in ESCADA's fragrance line and it conjures the lavish lifestyle of glamorous party-goers with a sense of adventure.  So what better place to launch it than Miami?  And what better person to introduce it than actress, model, and multi-platinum recording artist, Mya.

It's going down this weekend--a 2 day event, beginning with an exclusive evening of dancing and libations on Saturday at the hotspot LIV.  Then on Sunday, the celebration continues with a 3 hour chartered yacht party.  Of course, I'll be front and center on that one.

So exactly what, my pretties, does this have to do with you?  Well, one of my lucky readers will score 2 tickets to the yacht party that leave from Bayside Marketplace in Miami at noon on Sunday, March 14th.  The party includes an open bar, a dj, and several floors of fun!

All you have to do is leave a comment below telling what you think of this contest, one per person.  You can get ONE additional entry by tweeting about this giveaway.  You can score ONE additional entry by blogging about this giveaway and linking back to this post.  Should you tweet or blog, you MUST leave an additional comment saying that you did.  ONE additional comment for tweeting and ONE for a blog post.

You have from now until 5pm on Friday to get in on this.  At 5:30pm on Friday, the winner will be randomly chosen, using a random number generator.  Winner will be notified and must confirm within 24 hours or another winner will be randomly chosen.  There is NO ground or air transportation included in this giveway.  Winner must be able to reach the Bayside Marketplace for yacht boarding by 11:45am this Sunday.  Hit me up with questions.

Good luck!!

While watching Dr Phil this morning, I realized something about myself. I have an addictive personality, at least according to him.

I find things and become obsessed about them. It generally passes when I find a new obsession. I think it's harmless since it has been things like BeJeweled2, Twitter, raspberry lemonade water ice, and french fries from McDonald's. At least it's not cigarettes or crack, huh?

Are you a fellow addict? What kinds of things do you obsess about?'

I post daily. So that you don't miss any of my randomness, you might want to subscribe by email.

Please let me introduce Shelby M Hill, a professional relationship coach and also an FOJ (Friend of Jewel). He coaches women regarding dating, relationship and social barriers. Interesting work, huh?

After watching women in his life experience unfulfilled, volatile, and dysfunctional relationships, he decided that he wanted to educate women about men--in addition to educating them on loving and working on themselves, rather than expecting a man to do it for them. He's challenged with making his clients understand that by investing in themselves, they can change the outcome of their personal situations.

One of the things that I love about Shelby is his unconditional and unabashed adoration for his wife, British. His blog, called
My Life With My Wife, is a glimpse inside their relationship and never fails to make me smile. His honest accounts of those little "situations" that all marriages experience have given me great insight into the "husband's" point of view. He calls British his best friend, business partner, lover and confidante. When he even thinks of her, he beams--and I find it quite refreshing!

Shelby has extended an invitation to my readers to friend him on Facebook (Shelby M Hill), follow him on Twitter(@shelbymhill), comment on his blog, and visit his website. He also offers complimentary coaching sessions. Contact him via email at shelby@shelbymhill.com for more information.

I asked Shelby about his plans for the future and I wasn't surprised to find that they include writing books, hosting teleseminars and speaking engagements. And of course, British.

What's your favorite time of day? For me, it's dawn. I love the few minutes between darkness and light. It's when I'm at my creative best.

I've been an early riser all of my life. I'm usually up hours before anyone else in my home. It's a great time for prayer, reflection, affirmations, and planning. I also catch up on the news, check emails, and write blog posts. If there's time, I may also check Facebook and Twitter. As the day wears on, the family arises, and the day starts. There's probably not another time of day when it's just me and my thoughts.

What's your favorite time of day? Are you an early bird like me? Are you a night owl? When are you at your best? Why?

Two years ago today, Apple introduced the iPhone. It resulted in what I call, "The Fruit Salad War: Apple vs. Blackberry." Each is vying for consumers to buy their fruit. Two years later, many of us put a piece of fruit up to our ears daily.

I think that there's room for both in the salad. Some folks prefer apples, some blackberries. I actually like them both, but if I was hardpressed--I'd have to go for the berry. My blackberry is an integral part of my life. It's my phone, my calendar, my address book, my camera, my GPS system, my video player, my newspaper, my Twitter, internet, and Facebook(on the go). I probably couldn't function without it.

What about you? How tightly are you and your cell phone connected? Do you use all of the functions of your phone? How do you "get away?"

A huge part of blogging is reading and commenting on other blogs. A couple weeks ago, one of my favorite bloggers reviewed Axe's new hair products. Not only did I leave a comment on her post, but I also tweeted her about how my 12 year old son swears by Axe, though he had never used the hair line. We had a quick little banter about it. Little did I know, Axe was listening! They contacted me, offering hair products for my son and giveaways for my readers. My son was excited and I was too!

If you aren't familiar with Axe, they are a Unilever brand that includes deodorant body sprays, deodorant and anti-perspirant sticks, shower gels, and now hair care products. The new hair care line includes shampoos, conditioners, and styling products. They all smell great!

The good folks over at Axe sent enough for multiple winners to receive both a shampoo and a styling aid, so here are the rules:

1. Leave a comment on this post for your initial entry. Don't forget to include a valid email address, should I not already know how to contact you.

2. For an additional entry, sign up to get my blog via email. The sign up form is on the right sidebar. You must also verify the subscription. If you are already a subscriber, you will automatically get an additional entry.

3. Become a Google Friend Connect follower of my blog. Click on the Google Friend widget on the sidebar. If you are already connected with me via Google Friend, you will automatically get this entry.

4. Tweet this and send me a link. It's worth another entry.

5. Post this on Facebook. It'll get you yet another entry.

6. Forward this to at least 4 other folks for yet another entry. Please copy me on the email.

That is 6 chances to win! Keep in mind though, you MUST leave a comment for the initial entry. Without the comment, none of the other entries will count.

Contest ends at midnight EST, next Sunday, June 21st (Fathers Day), and winners will be announced on Monday's post.

Ok, so I heard that astronaut, Mike Massimino, was on Twitter from space. I have to say that I was confused. I didn't think think there was internet in space. And more importantly, how could he be allowed to tweet from space, when I'm not allowed to even make a cell call from a plane!

Apparently other folks questioned this, as well. Finally, NASA admitted that he wasn't actually tweeting from space. He sends the messages to Mission Control in Houston and then they tweet the message for him. Perhaps it's just me, but that isn't nearly as exciting as tweeting from space.

Why didn't they just say that at the start? Why is it suddenly fashionable to try to "fool" the public? What is this about? Or am I simply being too critical?

So, the one confirmed case of Swine Flu in South Florida just happens to be at the high school that my daughter attends. Scary stuff, huh?

Even more scary is frenzy by the media. They are scrambling to find out the identity of the child. They are out on Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, etc. looking for "anyone who knows anyone that knows the identity" of the 17 year old female. They are pestering kids to betray a friend. Whoa, is THAT a good lesson to teach our children???

Yours truly got an email after a short tweet yesterday afternoon. The reporter said that she "wanted to get a message to the family" and that they "could remain anonymous if they chose to." I would much rather that she said, "we went to camp out at her house and bug anyone going or coming." And as far as the anonymous part, I would say that it's apparent that they HAVE chosen it, by not coming forth.

Her school has a great principal, caring teachers, and have made great academic strides in the last few years. I have tried to get press there for the last 3 years. Nobody was interested. NOW, all of a sudden, I have reporters emailing me, wanting me to share info? NOT!

Yes, I KNOW who the student is. NO, I'm not telling you vultures! So there!

There are few things more exciting to me than networking with successful women. Something about being a woman while also doing it big, is inspiring to me. Believe it or not, I have connected with many through Twitter. I have made friends that I wouldn't have any other way. They are available for guidance, mentorship, bouncing new ideas off of, and just idle chat.

So, in honor of Follow Friday, where you recommend folks that you've found helpful on twitter, I'd like to recommend these wonderful chicks--

@frugalista, @erinpatrick, @stacijshelton, @superhussy, @paula_deen, @adrigonzo, @msteenamarie, @smball804, @calinative, @nicoleprexec, @bherrera, @thejstandard, @pamperry, @resoucefulmom, @teaandthee@gina2011, @nicolelewis

Please share with me some of the great folks that you've found on Twitter. I'm always glad to expand the circle!!
